Palazzo Storico di Gardone Riviera

Venne costruito in stile "Liberty" nel 1909 e funzionava come "Kurhaus", "Kursaal", cioe' come locale pubblico destinato all'intrattenimento di una clientela "di cura" che a Gardone , nel 1913, era costituita da 12,000 persone, in un primo tempo sopratutto da tedeschi e poi inglesi, polacchi e russi.

 Da settembre a Maggio vi si tenevano varie manifestazioni, conferenze e concerti pomeridiani.

 Disponeva anche di un parco 40,000 mq. Al primo piano funzionava la "Sala da gioco" che fu attiva negli anni 1911/12 e nella prima meta' degl'anni 20, quando venne chiusa con provvedimento fascista. Riaperta nel 1945 per otto mesi e poi chiusa definitivamente nel luglio 1946.

 Sein Namen ist darauf zurueckzufuehren das es in den Jahren 1911/1912 und in der erste haelfte der zwanziger Jahre auch als Spielbank betrieben Wurde.

                       The Casino' was opened in 1909 as a "Kurhaus" (spa hotel)

on the model of those existing at that time in Central Europe. It was popular with the numerous guest from the north, who winterd at Gardone Riviera intil the outbreak of the first world war.

For some time before the war and particulary in the early twenties, it was also used as a gambling place, hence today's name.
